This film brought together two icons of football — Umbro and Michael Owen — to tell the story of passion, loyalty and legacy.
Through an intimate interview, Owen reflects on his journey from a determined young player with world-class potential, to a career defined by unforgettable moments on the pitch. Woven with archive commentary and classic match highlights, the film explores not just his talent, but the values that shaped him: passion, determination, and an unwavering love of the game.
The project was designed as a hybrid shoot of stills and video, blending high-quality visuals with mixed media and camcorder footage to give the film a distinctly nostalgic feel. This layered approach not only honoured Owen’s history but also gave the campaign a unique, authentic aesthetic.
